The Child Culture Center is a specialized platform dedicated to developing the abilities of children and adolescents aged 6–16 through integrated cultural and educational programs and activities across various fields. These initiatives contribute to enhancing knowledge and skills, strengthening national identity, and supporting the goal of building an innovative and capable generation, in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
About Center
The Children’s Culture Center in the Sultanate of Oman is considered a leading cultural and scientific landmark, established by the Sultanate with the aim of inspiring visitors of all age groups and developing their knowledge and abilities through innovative methods that promote creativity and a love of exploration. The center was inaugurated on November 14, 1990, in conjunction with Oman’s National Day celebrations, to present concepts of science and technology in an engaging and simplified manner that supports deeper understanding and fosters a culture of learning. The center is housed in a distinctive architectural building consisting of two domes, covering an area of approximately 2,000 square meters. It overlooks Sultan Qaboos Street near Qurum Natural Park, giving it a strategic location that combines aesthetic appeal with cultural significance.
About Child Culture Center
Investing in children and youth is a fundamental pillar for building a sustainable knowledge-based economy. Based on this principle, the Child Culture Center serves as a specialized platform that contributes to preparing a conscious and creative generation, in line with the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040.
The center focuses on developing the capabilities of children and youth (ages 6–16) through comprehensive programs in culture, science, technology, engineering, arts, and sports. It includes the 'STEMazone' hall, specialized in interactive workshops to enhance creative thinking and technical skills.
The center has seen rapid growth in beneficiaries: 594 (2020), 337 (2021), 13,579 (2022), 18,595 (2023), 35,620 (2024), and reaching 44,301 in 2025. This growth reflects the success and relevance of our programs to the needs of the rising generation.
A Space Science and Technology corner was established in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and IT, Dalil Petroleum, and Oman LNG. Additionally, the center implements digital projects to consolidate Omani identity through content that blends authenticity with modern technology.
Through this approach, the Child Culture Center continues to support the upbringing of a cultured and creative generation that contributes to a prosperous and sustainable future for the Sultanate of Oman.
